Professor Reda Kotb, PhD (German)

Dr. Reda studied German language and literature in Egypt, Germany, and Switzerland and has nearly 30 years of experience in German-Arabic translation and scholarship. He is widely recognized as one of the finest German translators in the Arab region, with expertise in legal translation. He has also translated many influential German books into Arabic, including Annemarie Schimmel’s classic Mystische Dimensionen des Islam. Die Geschichte des Sufismus (1985), which was originally published in English as Mystical Dimensions of Islam.
